SP 10 SE FAIRFORD ROAD TO QUENINGTON (off east side)

Farmhouse. Late C18/early C19. Coursed rubble stone on moulded plinth, artificial stone slate roof to front, slate to rear, large ashlar end stacks with 3 diagonally set square flues with moulded cornices. Single range of 3 storeys with rear catslide, and small 2-storey wing set back to left. Five windows, 2-light stone mullions with 8-pane casements to second floor, 2-light stone mullion and transoms with plain iron casements to first and ground floor, with relieving arches and continuous dripmould over ground floor. Central moulded stone doorcase with C20 four-panel door and small horizontal oval light above in stone frame with dripmould raised over it. North side has chamfered flush stone door surround, all C20 fenestration. Low garden walls leading south from front door to main gateposts in dressed stone with pyramidal cap and ball finial, about 1.5m high, with flanking low drystone wall with coping stones ending in taller version of gatepiers at each end, that to right with ball finial fallen off.
