Description
This barn, located at the northeast end of the range of buildings at Leafield Farm, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed and square stone, with some sections appearing to be drystone. The barn features a stone slate roof and a large gabled cart entry on the east side, which has a timber lintel but no doors. There is also a small former doorway with a timber lintel on the left side of the gabled entry. An opposed flush entry with a timber lintel is present as well. Currently, all doorways are covered with corrugated plastic. The barn has scattered square vents and is one of two well-preserved buildings that were part of a formerly much larger and significant farm group.
