Description
No. 14 The Green is an end house in a terrace, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a Cotswold stone slate roof with a stone gable stack on the right. The building is a single range with a small rear extension, standing two storeys tall with an attic.
The front has two windows on the upper floor, one being a 12-pane sash and the other an 8-pane sash, both with wooden lintels. On the ground floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows, and a doorway located on the right return, which has a very wide original plank door. Although the original doorhood is no longer present, the widely spaced carved stone brackets remain, supporting a 20th-century hood. The attic features a small gabled dormer with twin casements.
