Description

This is an 18th-century chest tomb located approximately 4 meters south of the porch of the Church of St. Michael in Duntisbourne Rouse. It is made of limestone and features lyre-ends with a central carved head, along with acanthus leaf carvings on the scroll sides. The tomb has recessed inscription panels on both the north and south sides, although the inscriptions are illegible. It also has a chamfered base and a thick cavetto moulded top.
