Description
This is an 18th-century chest tomb made of limestone, located about 11 metres south of the nave of the Church of St. Michael. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge, which was very worn at the time of the survey in July 1984. It has elaborate quarter balusters adorned with twined ribbons, fruit, and flowers on the east and west sides. There are inscription panels on the north and south sides, with an egg and dart surround on the north panel, which also includes shells, fruit, and flowers carved into the sides of the panels. The inscription has worn away, and the tomb stands on a moulded plinth.
