Description
The Glebe is a vicarage, now a house, built in the early 19th century with later alterations. It features painted brick and rubble construction, a plain tiled roof with brick gable stacks, treble Roman tiles on the rear slopes, and slate on the rear wing. The building has an L-plan layout and a two-span roof, standing two storeys high with two windows. All windows are casements with margin glazing; the first floor has two-light casements, while the ground floor has French windows. There is a central round-headed niche on the first floor, and all openings have timber drip moulds.
On the north side, there is a trellis porch with a shaped canopy, leading to a panelled and glass door. To the left of the door, there is one casement with a brick segmental head, and two windows—one three-light and one single light—both with flat splayed brick heads and projecting keystones. The rear of the building includes a two-storey wing with two casements on the first floor, similar to those at the front. The covered passage on the ground floor has chamfered piers, a four-light window, and a door with a pointed arch. There are also single-storey extensions with pitched roofs, and a first-floor window featuring a pointed arch and Y tracery. The interior is not accessible.
