Description

This is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with brick and a stone slate roof, and features a stone stack. The building has a rectangular plan with a brick extension projecting forward on the right side. It has one storey and an attic, with two 2-light dormers covered in hung slates, and a basement to the lower left. A 20th-century door with glazing bars is positioned off-centre to the left, and two 2-light, double-chamfered stone mullioned casement windows with horizontal glazing bars are located to the right. A two-light stone mullioned casement window is in the basement to the lower left, and there is evidence of a possibly former basement window, now blocked, to the right of the door. There is a two-light stone mullioned window and a small single light in the left gable end. The right gable end contains a stack. The brick extension has a half-hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
