Description

The south gates and gate piers form part of the southern boundary wall of Sandywell Park, dating to the 18th century. The piers are constructed of limestone and are square in plan, featuring moulded cappings and large fluted urn finials set on stepped bases. The gates are a double design, combining cast and wrought ironwork. They feature decorative wrought iron details, including a fine foliate wrought iron overthrow with an urn finial at its apex.
