Description

The gates, gate piers, and railings at The Lodge were built around 1834, likely for the Rogers family. They feature ashlar piers and cast iron gates and railings, creating a 'u'-shaped entranceway. The square piers are positioned off centre to the left and have moulded pyramidal caps with dentil decoration. The double gates are made of cast iron and have foliate-headed points, while the railings share a similar design and are set on a low wall that connects to subsidiary piers.
