Description
This is a 19th-century barn located on the track leading to Trafalgar Farm within the Trafalgar Estate. The barn is constructed of limestone rubble and rendered brick, topped with a concrete tile roof. It has a 'U' shaped plan, featuring formerly open-fronted store sheds that project at the rear. The barn has a central porch that projects forward, with an apsidal horse engine house situated to the right of the porch.
At the front of the horse engine house, there was originally a double door that is now blocked. There is a plank door on the right with a segmental head and a similar blocked door on the left. To the left of the porch, there is a double door leading into the barn. The formerly open-fronted store sheds at the rear have timber roof supports resting on limestone padstones, but their openings are now blocked. The barn has a flat gable end opening, and the porch features a lean-to roof. Inside, the barn consists of six bays with 20th-century collar and tie trusses.
