Description
The 'Roman' bath and former changing room, located in the grounds of Temple Guiting House, date from around 1790 to 1805 and are likely the work of George Talbot, associated with Temple Guiting House. The structure features limestone rubble retaining walls that were probably once rendered, along with limestone slab steps. The changing room is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, although the roof is no longer present. The pool is rectangular, measuring approximately 11 meters by 8 meters, with stone steps that project into the bath at the east end, opposite the entrance to the changing room. The changing room itself is about 5 meters square and has an exit to the pool located off centre to the left.
