Description
The stables at Temple Guiting House are a former stable block dating from the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, along with limestone rubble, and feature a concrete tile roof. The building has a 'U' shaped plan, with wings extending forward on both the right and left sides. There is a single room extension on the gable end of the right-hand wing, and the stables are a single storey in height.
On the left side of the courtyard, there are two large double plank doors, each set within segmental headed surrounds that include keystones. The rest of the courtyard facade features a series of round headed doorways and windows, all adorned with plain architraves. Most doors are 6-panel double doors, except for the single plank door leading to the single room extension on the right. The right-hand wing has a half-hipped roof, while the single room extension has a pyramidal roof. The interior has not been inspected.
