Description

The gates and gate piers to the Parish Room, made by Messrs. Letheren and Sons of the Vulcan Iron Works in Cheltenham, date from 1901. The structure features ashlar piers topped with moulded cappings that include dentils and small urn finials with intricate surface decoration. The double gates are adorned with decorative wrought iron panels on either side and a wrought iron overthrow that once held a gas lamp at the center. Above the lamp is a depiction of the keys of St Peter, with the date 1901 inscribed in gold below.
