Description

The gates and gate piers to the churchyard of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul date from the early 19th century. They are made of limestone ashlar and feature chamfered plinths and traceried panels, with moulded cappings. The overthrow, which was originally part of the design, was missing at the time of the survey in June 1985. The gates themselves are made of cast iron and are decorated with quatrefoils and spearheads. These gates and gate piers are similar to those found on High Street.
