Description

The bridge over the River Wylye is a road bridge built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a cast-iron balustrade. The bridge has a single segmental arch with angled abutment walls that end in square piers topped with moulded cappings. The east side of the bridge has pitched stone coping leading to a low parapet, while the west side is made of concrete. The balustrade on the west side includes diagonally set cast-iron stick balusters with a narrow handrail, and the terminals on the piers are adorned with small iron urn finials.
