Description

Bugle Cottage is a semi-detached cottage dating to 1726, as indicated by the datestone above the front door. The cottage is constructed of English garden wall bond brick with stone quoins, and has a thatched roof with gable end brick stacks. It is a two-storey, two-windowed building. The front features casement windows, with a central planked door flanked by two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements. A moulded string course runs along the first floor, above which are two further two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements, with a datestone set between them. The right return is rendered, while the rear is of rubble stone construction, featuring a two-light mullioned window, a planked door within a thatched porch, and a two-light casement. The first floor on the rear has two two-light mullioned windows. The interior has not been inspected.
