Description
Quebec House is a late 18th-century house located on the south side of Heytesbury High Street. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick with a tiled roof and brick stacks, featuring a parallel-range plan. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, all fitted with sash windows. The front door, positioned to the left of centre, has six fielded panels and is framed by a plain stone surround. To the left of the door is a 12-pane sash window, and to the right are two 4-pane sash windows, all equipped with shutters. There is also a six-panelled door leading to an entry on the right side. On the first floor, there are four 9-pane sash windows and a blind panel situated between the floors. The house has painted stone quoins. To the left of the door, the cellar features two segmental arched openings with iron bars. At the rear, there is an early 19th-century range that includes 20th-century French windows and a glazed porch, with four 12-pane sashes on the first floor. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in May 1985.
