Description

No. 59 High Street is a late 18th-century house with a disused shop, part of a row of buildings. It is constructed of painted English garden wall bond brick and features a tiled roof with gable end brick stacks. The house is two storeys high and has two windows, both fitted with sash windows. The central entrance is a half-glazed door with a fixed window on either side. On the first floor, there are two flush 12-pane sash windows. At the rear, there is a 19th-century two-storey extension with a 16-pane sash window on the left and a 20th-century extension on the right. The interior is not of special interest, and the building is included primarily for its group value.
