Description

The gates and gate piers to the churchyard of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul were built in the early 19th century. They feature limestone ashlar piers with chamfered plinths and traceried panels, topped with moulded cappings that support a plain wrought-iron overthrow with a lantern. The gates themselves are made of cast iron and are decorated with quatrefoils and spearheads. These gates and piers are similar to those found on Tytherington Lane.
