Description

Raymond Hall is a late 18th-century malting, now used as a village hall. It is constructed of painted English garden wall bond brick, with a tiled and asbestos-slated roof. The front elevation features three bays and is three stories high. The ground floor has three segmental-headed blocked windows and two blocked doorways. The first floor has five segmental-headed, bottom-hinged windows, while the second floor has three three-light casements. A dentilled brick eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The left return is of rubble stone and contains 20th-century double planked doors. The right return has a curved corner incorporating a circular oast house, with double planked doors and fixed windows, and double planked doors to the first floor. The rear elevation has a planked door and two bottom-hinged windows to the first floor, and three three-light casements to the second floor. The interior has not been inspected.
