BRATTON CLOVELLY SX 49 SE 7/3 Barn and pigsties immediately - to the west of Chimsworthy

Barn and attached pigsties. Barn is probably C18, pigsties probably circa early C19. Rendered cob walls. Gable ended corrugated iron roof. Barn has long rectangular plan with central threshing floor. Pigsties attached in row at front of left-hand side connecting barn to house (q.v.). Single storey. Barn has asymmetrical front with central cart entrance, inserted doorway at right-hand end and blocked doorway to the left end with a window to its right. The pigsties project at right angles from the left-hand end of the barn in a row of 3 each with a door and a central covered passage between the right-hand two. Interior: C20 A-frame roof structure with metal bolts.
