Description
Inglenook is a small house built around the late 18th century or early 19th century, with a later addition from the 19th century. The structure features rendered stone rubble and cob walls, topped with a gable-ended asbestos slate roof. It has two gable end stacks, with the left-hand stack made of brick and the right-hand stack of rubble. The house has a double depth plan, consisting of narrow service rooms at the back and two principal heated rooms at the front, separated by a central stair hall. There is a single-room addition from the 19th century located behind the left-hand room. The building is two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical three-window front, primarily featuring early 19th century 16-pane hornless sash windows. The right-hand window on the first floor is a 19th century small-paned two-light casement, with a 20th century two-light casement below it. At the centre of the front is a 19th century flat door hood with a shallow cornice, supported by square wooden posts. Behind it is a mid-19th century panelled and glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
