Description
The building is a barn and attached pigsties located approximately 10 metres north of College Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century. The barn is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a thatched roof. It has four bays on the right side, with an additional two bays on the left that likely served as a stable. The third bay contains a threshing floor. There are two wide entrances on the right with wooden lintels, and a small wood mullioned window above the doorway to the right. A slit is located between the doorways, and there is a plank door to the left with a wooden lintel, as well as a plank door leading to the loft. Inside, the barn has a trenched purlin roof supported by common and principal rafters, and there is an inserted floor in the bays on the left.
The pigsties, which are probably from the early 19th century, are also made of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and have a Welsh slate roof. They feature plank doors and cambered arches with a central pier between the pigsties. To the right, there is a three-bay shelter shed with a lateral wooden feeding trough.
