Description
Yalford Cottages is a pair of identical adjoining cottages built around the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings and feature a slate roof that is hipped at both ends. The cottages have two brick stacks: a large one located on the ridge in the center and another at the right-hand end. Each cottage has a symmetrical three-bay front and stands two storeys tall.
The gabled stone porches have segmental brick arches leading to the outer doorways. On the ground floor, the windows are two-light casements with high transoms, featuring four panes above the transom and six panes below. The first-floor windows are gabled half-dormers with two-light casements, each having eight panes per light and set under flat brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
