Description
The Old Police Station is a house that was formerly a police station, built in the mid to late 19th century. It features sandstone rubble walls and a gable-ended slate roof, with two brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double-depth plan, likely with one room on either side of the entrance. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front, showcasing original three-light casements with rounded heads, where the central light is taller. Above the windows, there are brick arches set into the stonework. The central entrance has a round-headed doorway with original panelled double doors and a semi-circular fanlight above. The outer windows on the first floor have low wrought iron curved balconies. The interior has not been inspected.
