Description
The Methodist Chapel is an early to mid-19th century building constructed from granite rubble, featuring a slate roof with gable ends. The chapel auditorium is located on the first floor, accessed through an end entrance to the right at a higher ground level, above a schoolroom in the basement, creating a two-storey structure. The side facing the road and the rear have two large casement windows, each with arched top lights set in stone flat-arched surrounds with stone cills. The basement includes a pair of smaller casement windows and a boarded door to the left on the road side. A small later 19th-century porch is located at the right gable end, featuring a chamfered round-arched entrance, an overlight with Gothic glazing bars, and double boarded doors. There is also a small projecting outshut to the right of the porch with a boarded door. Inside, there is an elliptical arch with pilasters at the gable end opposite the porch, with a reading desk set in front of the arch and pine pews.
