Description
TAVISTOCK HAMLETS SX 47 SE 6/135 Lumburn Farmhouse - II Farmhouse, now house. Circa 1830 with some C20 alterations. Rubble, slate-hung front, rendered to left end, painted to right end. Slate roof with 2 ridge stacks. Double depth plan with central passage and straight stair to rear left in passage, 2 principal front rooms and service rooms to rear. 2 storeys and 3 windows, all C20 replaced 12-pane sashes, central gabled and glazed porch possibly of later C19, with half-glazed outer door and glazed inner door. Gable end to left has 10-pane light with iron stanchions at ground floor left, and C20 light in same sized aperture to right. Gable end to right has two 2-light casements at ground floor, to right formerly door, both with splayed stone heads. Rear has large single storey open lean-to, door to left and 2-light 10-pane casement to right, both with cambered heads, C20 2-light casement to left; first floor has three 2-light casements and small plate glass sash. Interior not inspected.
