Description

This milestone, located at SX 451 732, dates from the early 19th century. It is a square granite monolith set on a rough-cut base. The milestone features lettering on three faces: "TO THE QUAYS 2½ MILES" on the front, "MILL HILL HALF MILE" on the right, and "TAVISTOCK 2½ MILES" on the left, along with a carved indicating hand.
