Description
This range of buildings forms the north wall of the garden to the west of Sydenham House and includes a cottage, a former laundry, and a shippon. Constructed in the 18th and 19th centuries, the buildings are made of stone rubble and feature slate roofs that are hipped at the west end and half-hipped at the right end. The structure has two storeys. The cottage displays irregular window arrangements and has two chimneys. The long shippon range features six large entrances on the north side, four of which are under timber lintels, along with four loft entrances. To the east of the range, there is a stone rubble wall that includes an arched gateway leading into the garden. This range is included for its group value with Sydenham House.
