Description

A range of farm buildings dating primarily from the 18th century, with elements from the 17th century or earlier and early 19th-century alterations. The buildings incorporate a disused farmhouse, barns, and shippons, forming an L-shaped layout. Constructed of squared rubble with a graduated stone slate roof. The north range includes a shippon, a barn with opposed cart entries, and an outshut to the rear. The south range also has opposed cart entries and a shippon, with a section converted to a farmhouse in the early 19th century. The north wing features 19th-century shippon door and window openings to the left of the barn door, and vents to the right, with a half-hipped roof. The south wing has a cart entry with a timber lintel, and the farmhouse section has a door with a square-cut surround and three two-light flat-faced stone mullion windows, with vents to the right. Similar details are present at the rear, including a winnowing door. A ridge chimney stack rises from the structure. The original cruck-frames within the north range are partially hidden by a later ceiling.
