LAMERTON LAMERTON SX 47 NE 3/57 Row of 6 monuments in the - churchyard about 9m north of north aisle of Church of St Peter GV II

One ledger stone and 5 headstones. C16, C17, C18 and early C19. Slate. Ledger stone has inscription around border and central verse, to Mary, rest of inscription illegible. Headstone to Joanna Ellis, 1810, convex moulded panels to top and sides, central oval inscription panel. Plain headstone to Thomas Burnaford, 1683, with bold lettering. Headstone to William .... of Willistrewe, 1532, incised line around inscription panel, surname broken off. Headstone to Grace Harvey, 1804, with shaped top and scrolled decoration. Headstone to Roger Veare, 1768, with raised rounded top and head of cherub with wings, slightly raised and carved border to inscription panel.
