Description
This watermill and stables, located about 20 meters north of Billacombe Farmhouse, dates back to 1815, as indicated by a datestone, with extensions made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of stone rubble and features a scantle slate roof that is hipped at the left end and gabled at the right end. It stands two storeys tall and has an overshot mill wheel situated in a pit at the rear, with a rear right outshut. The front of the building includes three round-headed stone entrances and two blocked entrances that are covered by brick lintels. There is a large rectangular entrance on the right side of the front, along with two loft entrances, one of which is located to the right and is sheltered by a slated canopy supported by brackets. Additionally, there are pigeon holes located under the eaves.
