Description
This is a barn located about 50 meters north of Kelly House, dating from the early 18th century. It was originally a tithe barn but has been converted into a theatre, although it is now disused. The structure is built of stone rubble and features a hipped slate roof at both ends. On the south side, there is a large central entrance with a sloping slate roof on the cheeks, and early 20th-century steps lead up to double timber doors that were added during the barn's adaptation for theatrical use. Inside, some pegged trusses may be original. In 1919, Mary Kelly established the Kelly Dramatic Society, and the success of the plays performed by local parishioners contributed to the creation of the Village Drama Society.
