Description
This unoccupied cottage, located approximately 20 meters east of Bridgetown Farmhouse, is likely a former farm laborer's dwelling dating from the 18th century. The building features rendered rubble walls with some cob and has a thatched roof that is nipped on the left side and gabled on the right. There is a rubble stack at the right gable end. The cottage has a two-room plan, with the right-hand room heated; both rooms are now self-contained with separate external access. The exterior is two storeys high and has a regular front with openings only on the ground floor. On the right, there is a 20th-century two-light casement window, flanked by plank doors to the right and left of center, and to the left, there is a two-light 19th-century dairy window featuring a square section mullion.
