Description
Little Cob is a cottage that likely dates from the mid to late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The cottage features rendered cob walls and a thatched roof that is hipped at the left end and gabled at the right. There is a 20th-century rendered stack at the right gable end. The original layout consisted of two rooms, with the larger heated room on the right. The left-hand room has been divided into two rooms during the 20th century.
The exterior is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with two windows, which are 20th-century two-light casements. To the left of centre, there are 20th-century glazed double doors beneath a wood shingle door hood. Inside, the fireplace features a wooden lintel that is chamfered with jewel stops, and there are insubstantial rough ceiling joists. The roof structure has not been inspected.
