Description
The shippon and pigsty, located immediately to the east of Lower Court, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It features rubble walls, with the left-hand end constructed of rendered brick, and has a gable-ended slate roof. The shippon consists of two cow-houses, with a loft above the right-hand one, while the pigsty at the right-hand end may be a later addition. The exterior is asymmetrical, with doorways positioned at the center and left of center, a loading hatch above the central doorway, and a window to the left on the ground floor. The pigsty, which is considerably lower, has a doorway at its far end. The interior has not been inspected.
