Description

Woodpark is a cottage, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of rubble and cob, with rendered and colourwashed walls, and has straw-thatched gable ends. A single brick stack projects from the right end of the left room. The cottage follows a two-room plan; the larger left room has a fireplace and a direct entrance at its front, while the smaller, unheated right room is accessed from here. The ground floor has a doorway slightly left of centre, featuring a 19th-century plank door, and a small 2-light 19th-century casement window to the right, topped with a wooden lintel. The rear elevation has a two-window range of 20th-century casement windows. A 2-light casement sits in the first floor of the left-hand gable end. Inside, the ground floor room contains a fireplace with a wooden bressumer. The roof was not inspected. The cottage enjoys a prominent roadside position.
