Description
Penharget Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rendered rubblestone and cob, topped with a rag slate roof that has gable ends. The cottage features projecting rendered rubblestone stacks at the gable ends and has a single depth, two-room plan. It stands two storeys high with an asymmetrical front that has two windows. On the ground floor, there is a late 19th-century four-pane sash window beneath a segmental arch, and a 19th-century two-light casement window with glazing bars flanking the entrance, which is located to the left of centre. The entrance itself consists of a late 19th-century panelled door with two glazed lights. On the first floor, there is a 19th-century two-light casement window with glazing bars to the right of centre. Additionally, there is a rubblestone rendered single-storey lean-to on the left-hand gable end. The interior has not been inspected.
