Description

Gatepiers and garden wall directly south of Stockaton, dating from around the 17th century, are constructed from granite. The gatepiers are monolithic, square in section, featuring cornices and tapering, curved necks topped with ball finials. These gatepiers are positioned in front of garden boundary walls made of stone rubble, which have saddle back granite coping that ramps up to the gatepiers at the center.
