ST GILES SS 41 NE IN THE WOOD 6/192 Milestone at SS 499 179 - II

Milestone. Late C18 - early C19. Granite. Upright slab is triangular in section with its canted sides onto the road. Each of these sides has a rounded head. Both are inscribed with Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. The left side is inscribed 33 miles to Exon; the right side is inscribed 1 mile to Torrington.
