Description

This milestone, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, is made of granite. It features an upright slab that is triangular in shape, with canted sides facing the road. Each side has a rounded top and is inscribed with Roman serif lettering in both upper and lower case. The left side indicates a distance of 33 miles to Exeter, while the right side shows 1 mile to Torrington.
