Description

Barley Grove School is a 2-storey building erected in 1834 by Lord Rolle as a school house for the poor of the parish. This site has historical significance as it was the location of a castle chapel that was converted into a school in the 17th century. The building features grit-rendered walls and has six windows, primarily sash windows with glazing bars. A tablet on the building commemorates its construction in 1834.
