Description
This is an early 19th-century granary located approximately 20 meters east of Kerswell Farmhouse. The building features coursed rubble-limestone walls and a slate roof, with a rectangular plan aligned east to west.
The granary is a single-cell structure with an open-ended lean-to at the west end. A set of stone steps leads up to a 20th-century plank door in the north gable end. At the basement level, there is an opening on the front elevation and a blocked-up arched opening on the right side. The western lean-to has 20th-century timber roof struts.
Inside, the granary has a 19th-century A-frame pegged collar-truss roof, an attached winch, and modern battens. There is also a basement level beneath the main area.
