Granary At Approximately 15 Metres North West Of Tregerthen Farmhouse

The granary, located approximately 15 meters north west of Tregerthen Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is built of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof with gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan and includes a double flight of external steps leading to opposing loading and winnowing doorways.

The granary is two storeys high. The east front has a ground floor doorway that is accessed under the landing of the stairs, creating a stone landing that serves as a porch. There are small ventilator windows, and a monolithic mounting block is situated next to the rear steps. The steps at both the front and rear are steeper on one side, likely designed for quicker descent.

This granary is part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet set within the ancient field system of this area in Cornwall.
