Description

This granary, located 80 meters northwest of Lower Trevinnick Farmhouse, dates from the 1830s. It features a slate-hung timber frame and a slate pyramid roof. The building is square in shape and raised above the ground on three rows of three granite staddle stones. The front elevation is symmetrical, with a flight of stone rubble steps leading up to a central entrance that has a plank door. There are timber louvered openings on the side elevations. Inside, there are posts with slots designed to hold vertical dividing boards, which remain in place and are still used for grain storage.
