Description
This granary, located 20 meters east of Tregroide Manor, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It features a slate-hung timber frame and a slate pyramid roof. The building has a square plan and is elevated on three rows of three staddle stones, which are nearly two meters high. It is an unusually tall granary with a pathway running underneath it, and a low wall has been inserted between the staddle stones. There is a stone rubble ramp leading up to the entrance, which has a plank door. The original slate or timber louvres in the square openings have been replaced with glass. Inside, the central post has been removed, revealing an interesting roof construction.
