Description

This granary, located 20 meters to the northeast of Lanow Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is hung with slate and a pyramid roof made of rag slate. The building is square in shape and is raised on three rows of three granite staddle stones. It has a central plank door and ventilation openings in the side elevations, which originally had slate or timber louvres but have now been replaced with glazing. Inside, there are slotted upright posts designed to hold vertical dividing boards.
