Description
This is a row of five pig houses, built around the mid-19th century, now used as stores. Constructed from stone rubble, the buildings feature a rag slate roof with gable ends. The structure has a long rectangular plan built into the bank at the rear, consisting of five individual pig houses that originally housed pigs owned by the nearby terrace of cottages opposite. The pig houses are single storey, with the front elevation showcasing four-plank doors and one double plank door, although the right-hand gable end is partly collapsed. Inside, there are timber partitions and a pegged and bolted collar rafter roof.
