Description

Trentinney Farmhouse is a farmhouse that possibly dates back to the 17th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a slate roof, which has a gable end on the left and a hipped end on the right. The building has projecting rear wings with gable ends. There is a brick stack on the left-hand gable end and a projecting stone rubble stack with a brick shaft on the right-hand hipped end. Additionally, there is an axial brick stack and a gable end stack in the rear wing on the right.

The exact layout of the interior is uncertain as full inspection was not accessible. The front range has a two-room and central passage plan, likely with a hall kitchen on the right, heated by a large projecting end stack. This range is further extended to the rear on the right with a two-room range heated by an axial stack at the junction with the front range and by a gable end stack. There is also a further one-room plan range added to the rear on the left.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with an asymmetrical three-window front. On the ground floor, there are two late 19th or 20th century four-pane sash windows, along with a central 20th century rendered and glazed porch that has a panelled door. The first floor features two late 19th or 20th century four-pane sashes and a 19th century 16-pane sash window. The interior remains inaccessible for inspection.
