Description
The granary, located 50 meters to the northeast of Trenant Barton, dates from the early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is clad in corrugated iron, likely replacing the original slate hanging. The roof is a scantle slate pyramid. The structure is almost square in shape and originally stood on three rows of three round granite staddle stones, with six staddle stones still in place. The southeast front has a plank door with a louvered opening above it, while rectangular louvered openings are present on the other sides. Inside, timber posts with slots for dividing boards can be seen, and the roof is supported by pegged collar rafters.
