Description

The lock located 40 meters south of Steppes Lodge is a structure from the early 19th century, designed to manage the water flow for a fish pond on the Morval Estate. Made of timber, this lock is situated at the entrance of the fish pond, which is supplied by a stream that originates from the northeast and runs through the estate's wooded gardens. The lock regulates the water flow beneath the A 387 road and into the East Looe River.
